Afeez Bello ‘Mabinuori’ Congratulates Senator Yunus Akintunde over SWDC Chairmanship
As the Nigerian Senate announced prominent politician and one of the frontline senators in the 10th Assembly, Senator Yunus Akintunde, as the Senate Committee Chairman of the Southwest Development Commission(SWDC), Oyo APC stalwart Hon. Afeez Bello ‘Mabinuori’ has congratulated the legislator on his ‘historic’ appointment.
While rejoicing with the pro-people politician, Mabinuori wrote,”Congratulation on this new appointment in your political career. I wish you unmatched success in this new role.
“Your day-to-day action on the floor of the Red Chamber proves that you’re ready for more responsibility as a dedicated legislator, and I’m so elated that the Nigerian Senate recognised your commitment and excellence.
“Kindly use the opportunity to restore and revitalise the development that the whole world knows Southwest for, during the era of the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, the president Nigeria never had.
“As the first ever Chairman of the Senate Committee for the Commission, please, sir, always try to prioritise and set standards for the wellbeing and welfare of the people of the zone and the progress of Southwest Nigeria in all capacities so that your potential successors can continue from the standards that you set, and our zone will be competing with countries in Western Europe and be ahead of them in the near future.
“This will prompt you to improve on the Awo legacy, bring fresh initiatives and ideas and set an unmatched standard for our zone that would make it the forerunner of all geo-political zones in Nigeria. Congratulations once again, Sir”, Mabinuori submitted.
