Today, I join the progressive family and people around the world in honoring a leader among leaders, a father to all, a mentor to many, a relentless progressive; a man with an unrivaled eye for competence, the Jagaban of Borgu, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He remains a man of deep thought, strategy, and endearing candor, and those who describe him as fearless are not far off the mark.
His political wit and cunning are without a doubt exemplary, and it continues to serve as inspiration for progressives and politicians across the country and beyond.
Happy 70th birthday Asiwaju, I wish you additional layers of greatness and outstanding accomplishments in the years ahead.
