N5.6B Remittance: Ondo APC Chieftain Commends Interior Minister, Tunji-Ojo

The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has been commended for remitting N5.6 billion to the federation account on Monday for the 2024 fiscal year.

Commending the minister, a chieftain of All Progressives Congress(APC) in Ondo State, Hon. Dada Eminence, described the feat achieved by the Minister as unprecedented.

He noted that the Ministry under Tunji-Ojo performed beyond the targeted projection of the ministry for the last fiscal year.

Hon. Eminence commended the management and members of staff of the ministry across all the departments and agencies under the Minister’s supervision for the record-breaking performance.

He, therefore, tasked other ministers and appointees across various ministries, departments and agencies to emulate Tunji-Ojo by put in their best to make President Bola Ahmed Tinubu achieve his desire to rescue the nation from the current socio-economic challenges.

The APC chieftain said: “The performance of the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo is commendable, particularly considering the fact that he surpassed the projection of the 2024 fiscal year.

“Remitting a sum of N5.6 billion to the federation account is not a small feat. This is unprecedented in the ministry and it is not out of place to commend him for this achievement.

“The management and staff of the Ministry, departments and agencies that made this feat achievable should be commended too.

“Although many people like myself are not surprised by the Minister’s feat because of the achievements he recorded as a member of House of Representatives.

“I want to seize the medium to task other ministers and appointees of the President to put in their best to make the Renewed Hope agenda of the president achievable earlier than projected.

“If others can record similar feat achieved by the Minister of Interior, our economy would hit the targeted mark before long for the betterment of the citizenry.”
