No Issues in ACOMORAN – Keke Owners, Riders Association Debunks Nat’l Assembly Probe, Denies President Arrest

The national leadership of the Amalgamated Motorcycle and Tricycle Owners, Riders, and Repairers Association, ACOMORAN, has unanimously debunked a viral story purportedly circulated by some alleged enemies of the association that claimed that ACOMORAN is in disunity and that its national president has been ordered to be arrested by the police, following five different declined invitations by the National Assembly.

In a release issued by Olagunju-Lawal Olamilekan, Media Consultant to ACOMORAN’s National President, the association maintained that,”Setting straight the record, the leadership of ACOMORAN has never been in disunity since the inception of the current tenure being led by the National President, Prince Shamsudeen Apelogun, who was elected in a credible election held in Abuja.

“Sequel to the recently trending viral story, claiming that the Federal House of Representatives has ordered the arrest of one Samsudeen Apelegun, who’s the president of the Keke Riders Association. ACOMORAN, as the foremost leading and prestigious union for motorcycle and tricycle transporters in Nigeria, is hereby putting it factually and straight to Nigerians that:

  1. There has never been an association or transporters union in Nigeria registered as the Keke Riders Association. In ACOMORAN, where Alhaji Shamsudeen Apelogun is the national president, there’s no case of disunity or intra-Union crisis.
  2. Prince (Alhaji) Shamsudeen Apelogun has never once been invited by any arm of the National Assembly for interrogation or probe of any form.
  3. The president of ACOMORAN, Prince Shamsudeen Apelogun, is hale and fine in his abode. As an easygoing businessman and law-abiding citizen, he’s neither declared wanted by the police nor arrested or found wanting for any form of financial misappropriation.
  4. ACOMORAN, as a body that respects law and its fundamentals, strongly believes in the National Assembly and the Nigerian Police Force, not only as just and fair but also as distinguished institutions. We won’t receive their invitations and refuse to honour such.
  5. The door to the ACOMORAN National Secretariat complex in Abuja is always opened to every aggrieved member to submit their petitions and address their grievances to appropriate quarters.
