Oyo Central: Stakeholders Hail Sen Yunus Akintunde over Agriculture Empowerment Progs for Farmers
In an unprecedented, epoch-making event attended by notable stakeholders at the farmers empowerment initiative, Senator Yunus Akintunde has been commended with a pledge and commitment to still “do more.”.
The empowerment programme which was held barely one month after the first phase of empowerment programmes where farmers were significantly supported, was held at Oba Adeyemi Mini Stadium at Oyo in the Oyo Central Senatorial District.
In attendance at the event were Senator Ayoade Adeseun, a former senator of Oyo Central Senatorial District and leader of APC in Oyo State; party leaders led by Alhaji Olanite Oyo APC Secretary, Alhaji Mogeed Olaoya, APC Oyo South Senatorial chairman; Mr. Abass Adewunmi, Oyo State Chairman of the Association of Farmers in Nigeria; and many traditional rulers and religious leaders.
Senator Adeseun, with enthusiasm, extolled the virtues of excellence and unique representation exhibited by Dr. Yunus Akintunde, quite evident in the quality of impactful programmes reeled out with evidence.
“I’m particularly proud of your sterling performances and proud to associate with your laudable achievements within the short period of eighteen months after your inauguration as a senator,” Adeseun enthused.
Other notable stakeholders, including Baale Oleyo Alhaji Kabiru Olajide, expressed the appreciation of the people of Oluyole Local Government for the construction of Ayegun Oleyo Road and several other projects facilitated through Senator Akintunde.
In his response to several accolades and appreciation on his report of an excellent scorecard with sterling projects, Senator Akintunde promised to continue to be steadfast in his commitment to improve the quality of life of the constituents.
Representing Dr. Ishiak Khalid, the Director General of the National Agricultural Seeds Council, at the event, Mr. Adeseko Adekunle, a regional director, indicated further interest in the working synergy with Dr. Yunus Akintunde, who has shown significant synergetic capacity and drive with the National Agricultural Seeds Council.
