Oyo North Senatorial Seat: Constituents Rally Behind Hannah Ogunesan, Describe Former Head of Service As Pro-people Politician

“Notable stakeholders in the Oyo North Senatorial District will be supporting the aspiration of a pragmatic administrator, Mrs. Hannah Olawumi Ogunesan (MFR), in 2027.”.

A group under the aegis of the Paradigm Shift Initiative (PSI), comprising politicians, professionals, traders, market men & women, youth, students, and various interest groups, has launched a grassroots campaign to plead with one of the most pragmatic heads of service in the history of the Oyo State Civil Service, Mrs. Hannah Olawumi Ogunesan (MFR), to join the race for greater representation of the Senatorial district in 2027.

In a statement signed by the convener and the secretary, Messrs. Hammed Tunde and Adebowale Ojo, this call became necessary to improve the welfare of the people in the Oyo North Senatorial District.

‘We are a blessed and hard-working people, with lots of natural and human resources. We are industrious, resilient, and tenacious; all we need is a good administrator to harness our potential and move the district to an enviable position. We have found in you all the attributes of a virtuous mother who, like the mother hen, will protect, preserve, and advance the progress of our people.

“As we approach the 2027 elections, it is imperative that we identify a candidate who embodies the values of representative democracy, the statement reads.

Hannah Olawumi Ogunesan (HoS), as she is fondly called, rose through the cadre of her career to the enviable position of Head of Service before retirement. The Ago Amodu-born administrator is an alumnus of the London School of Economics, MBA, and she holds a BSc from Ogun State University.

“Throughout her distinguished career, Mrs. Ogunesan (MFR) has consistently demonstrated a commitment to the development of her constituents by empowering the youths, promoting women’s rights, and supporting the vulnerable.

“We urge all constituents across Oyo North Senatorial District to join us in this grassroots movement to support Mrs. Hannah Olawumi Ogunesan (MFR). Together, we can make a difference and ensure that our senatorial district is represented by a leader who truly cares about the people,” the statement concluded.
