Oyo North Senatorial Seat: Constituents Rally Behind Hannah Ogunesan, Describe Former HOS As Pro-people Politician

A coalition of constituents from Oyo North Senatorial District, comprising politicians, professionals, traders, market men& women, youth, students, women, and other stakeholders, has launched a grassroots campaign to support the candidacy of former Head of Service in Oyo State, Chief (Mrs.) Hannah Olawumi Ogunesan.

Under the umbrella of the Hannah Ogunesan Support Group (HoS), the group has issued a statement calling on Mrs. Ogunesan to contest the Oyo North Senatorial Seat in the 2027 elections.

Signed by the convener, Hammed Tunde, and secretary, Adebowale Ojo, the statement highlights Chief Ogunesan’s exceptional leadership qualities, administrative expertise, and commitment to the welfare of the people.

“As we approach the 2027 elections, it is imperative that we identify a candidate who embodies the values of representative democracy. Chief (Mrs.) Hannah Olawumi Ogunesan is the epitome of pro-people leadership, with a proven track record of selfless service and dedication to the advancement of Oyo North,” the statement reads.

The group emphasised that Chief Ogunesan’s leadership style is characterised by inclusivity, empathy, and a deep understanding of the needs and aspirations of the people.

“Throughout her distinguished career, Chief (Mrs.) Ogunesan has consistently demonstrated a commitment to empowering youth, promoting women’s rights, and supporting the vulnerable. Her vision for the Oyo North Senatorial District is rooted in the principles of progressivism, talent development, and innovative problem-solving.”

The Hannah Ogunesan Support Group acknowledges the foundation laid by Senator Abdul-Fatai Buhari (BAF) and expresses confidence that Chief (Mrs.) Ogunesan is the ideal candidate to consolidate and build upon these gains.

“We urge all constituents across Oyo North Senatorial District to join us in this grassroots movement to support Chief (Mrs.) Hannah Olawumi Ogunesan. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that our senatorial district is represented by a leader who truly cares about the people,” the statement concluded.
