Oyo SWAGA Pays Tribute to Apostle Oloruntoba Oke

The political landscape of Nigeria was thrown into mourning as news filtered in of the passing of Apostle (Hon.) Oloruntoba Oke, a renowned politician and National Treasurer of the South-West Agenda for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (SWAGA).

Apostle Oke, a respected leader and pathfinder in the actualisation of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidential project, died after a brief illness, leaving behind a legacy of service and dedication to his country, Nigeria, and Lagos State.

The SWAGA Oyo State Chapter, in a condolence message signed by its chairman, Hon. Sunday Adepoju, and secretary, Hon. Adeniyi Abiodun Adeoti, described Apostle Oke as an effective public servant and great Nigerian.

“We received the news of the passing of our beloved Apostle (Hon) Oloruntoba Oke with a deep sense of loss,” the statement read. “On behalf of the Chairman, State Executive Committee, and all Members of SWAGA Oyo State Chapter, we commiserate with the National Chairman, Sen. Dayo Adeyeye, other members of the National Executive, and the family of Apostle Oke on this irreparable loss.

Apostle Oke was a key figure in Lagos State politics, serving as the Chairman of Ifako Ijaye Local Government Area, where he implemented various projects that improved the lives of local residents. His commitment to governance and community development earned him the respect and admiration of his peers and constituents.

As a devout Christian and active member of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Apostle Oke’s faith guided his actions and decisions, inspiring him to serve humanity with compassion and empathy.

The SWAGA Oyo State Chapter paid tribute to Apostle Oke’s enduring legacy, saying, “His earthly presence will be missed, but we are thankful that he lived a good life of service to his country, Nigeria, and Lagos State. With his good deeds and immense sacrifices, his name, which is already etched in gold, will remain with us forever.”

Oyo SWAGA described the late man of God as a dedicated public servant, a loyal party man, and a champion of the people.
