The Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN) has commended the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) for organising a one-day training on promoting the export of information technology-based services.

The training, themed “Leveraging Information Technology to Enhance Job Creation for Youths,” aimed to equip young Nigerians with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in the global digital economy.

Rt. Hon. Oluwasegun Famuyibo, Speaker of the Youth Assembly of Nigeria, expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, stating that it aligns perfectly with YAN’s vision to empower young Nigerians.

“In today’s rapidly evolving world, technology has become the driving force behind economic growth and job creation,” Famuyibo said. “This training underscores the importance of positioning Nigerian youths as global players in the tech industry.”

The training highlighted the vast opportunities in software development, digital marketing, cybersecurity, fintech, artificial intelligence, and other IT-driven sectors. Participants were urged to take advantage of the knowledge and resources provided to become key exporters of world-class IT-based services.

The Youth Assembly of Nigeria and the Nigerian Export Promotion Council are committed to working together to ensure that Nigerian youths not only consume technology but also become major players in the global tech industry.

As Famuyibo emphasised,”The future is digital, and the future is now!”
