The Fidelity SME Hub is expected to play a crucial role in the Youth Activities Dashboard, a tool for monitoring and supporting young entrepreneurs, particularly in the creative sector. According to Gbadamosi, this initiative aligns with Nigeria’s broader efforts to empower youth, foster innovation, and drive economic growth through entrepreneurship.
The hub, which offers business incubation, capacity development, and support for the creative sector, is equipped with state-of-the-art training halls, meeting spaces, and dedicated studios for music, photography, and content creation. This initiative is expected to significantly boost the creative industry and provide much-needed support to young business owners in Lagos State.
The launch event was attended by several dignitaries, including the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) representing the Governor of Lagos State, the Honourable Minister of Youth Development, the Director-Generals of SMEDAN and NEXIM Bank, and key influencers from various sectors. Their presence underscored a collective commitment to youth empowerment and SME development in Nigeria.
As Fidelity Bank continues to lead the charge in SME development, stakeholders remain optimistic that this initiative will pave the way for a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem in Nigeria.
