A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Barrister Akeem Agbaje, has mourned the passing of a renowned business magnate, philanthropist, and former minister, Prince Ajibola Afonja.
Agbaje described his death as painful and one that would create a huge void that would be extremely difficult to fill.
“This is a trying time for the good people of Oyo as they come to terms with the passing of their prominent son, Prince Ajibola Afonja. Baba Afonja was a man of peace who lived his life instilling peace, touching lives, and pushing for the progress of Oyo town.

“Prince Afonja was a unifier and leader of thought. His legacies of peace, kindness, and industry will continue to shine forth. Indeed, Oyo State and Nigeria have lost an enigma, and I commiserate with the family, friends, associates, and the Oyo community over this hugely painful loss.

“It is my prayer that Almighty Allah will grant him Aljannah Firdaus and strengthen and comfort his family.” Agbaje submitted.
