Akala Political Vanguard in Ogo Oluwa had a great reawakening and push at the Opete area of the Local Government during the new year festive period.
The former Executive Governor of Oyo-State, late Otunba Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala, while alive, was a political colossus in Oyo State and at home and in diasporas. His death was a great loss to the APC and Ogbomoso, but his impactful life while on earth lingers on forever. Sustaining the Akala political movement and legacy across the LGA and in Oyo State is never daunting nor herculean.
So it was at Opete when the train of leaders championing the course got to Ogo Oluwa, and the team was given a rousing welcome by the Ogo Oluwa Akala Political Vanguard under the leadership of Hon. Abolade Johnson, the 2019 ADP House of Assembly candidate.
Hon. Abolade Johnson, in his speech, espoused more on the values, ideals, and principles the late Akala brought to politics that made him great.
The Akala train was led by Hon. Tunde Oloyede, Oyo North APC Senatorial Chairman.
Hon. Oloyede, in his speech, appreciated the love the people of Ogo Oluwa had for the late Gov. Akala, and he admonished them to sustain it more.
Other members of the team, Alhaji Wasiu Olukan and Hon. Wale Adeleke, re-emphasised why the Akala legacy must be sustained, and this necessitated their visit to Ogo Oluwa LGA.
The duo jointly opined,”Akala legacy can only be sustained when the disciples and followers of Akala identify themselves and unite.
The team appreciated Hon. Abolade Johnson for sustaining the idea and ideals of their principal always.

Hon. Johnson promised not to let the legacy of late Akala go into oblivion. In furtherance of sustaining the legacy, he donated a Coaster Bus to the youths and a sum of 1 million naira as New Year gifts to the 500 attendees who were drawn from all the 10 wards of Ogo Oluwa.
Alhaji Olukan, in his appreciation speech, spoke highly of the good gesture from the donor.

Lastly, Hon. Wale Adeleke enjoined the people to align and collaborate more with the APC in Ogo Oluwa, as it’s only a united party that can prosecute elections and win.
Finally, the Akala vanguard (Ogo-Oluwa LGA) was rated highly for their monthly meetings, and they promised to always visit them.
