2023: Folarin Alleged Victory Cannot Stand – Dr Adeduntan Fumes, Sets to Unveil “Next Plan of Action”.
The Osi Basorun of Ibadan Land and Oyo state All Progressives Congress, APC gubernatorial aspirant, during last Friday governorship primary election, Prince (Dr.) Azeez Popoola Adeduntan has described the governorship primary election as a fraudulent, unacceptable and out of every reasonable form of modern democratic practice.
Prince Dr. Adedunatan stated this in his reaction shortly after Senator Teslim Folarin was declared APC 2023 governorship candidate at the primary election held at Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Oke Ado, Ibadan.
Prince Dr Adeduntan stated that Oyo APC is now in the intensive care unit and may not survive this fatal blow from this fraudulent and undemocratic primary election.
He said the election is not free, fair and credible but votes tallying and distribution has already hatched by Folarin and his desperate associates.
“All my delegates were disenfranchised from most of the 351 wards in olOyo state and pseudo names inserted in their stead which gave Folarin the visible, controversial victory”, he lamented.
“The process was characterized by documents tampering, deletions and insertions of fictitious names and whole out jettison of victorious delegates list.
Dr. Adeduntan advised his supporters to stay calm as all options are on the table and are being considered.
“Of course, we saw this coming when delegates forms were selectively sold and other contenders shut out, but no one thought they could be this desperate and over ambitious.
“We have repeated sundry times that Adeduntan will accept free ,fair and credible elections, but not ‘JAGBA’ or fraudulent electoral process as was perpetrated this evening before the whole world.
Adeduntan said,”The worst form of corruption is electoral corruption, as it puts in power a candidate’s hand that is not wanted by the electorates.
He added that no matter what, no assault brought about by doctored documents can diminish the quality of gold, nor diamond which Prince Adeduntan represents, both locally and internationally.
“Let me assure you all that I ,Azeez Popoola Adeduntan will respond to this electoral heist, with reasonable promptness.
“That result sheet is totally rejected by Adeduntan and thousands of his supporters and it cannot withstand judicial scrutiny which will soon be initiated with reasonable promptness”, the statement added.
