2023: Ibadan Southwest APC Leaders, Members Back Kolapo Kola-Daisi As Next Oyo South Senator(PHOTOS).
Leaders and a troop of party faithful in Ibadan Southwest, the local government with largest voting population in Oyo South and Oyo state, have thrown their weight behind Kolapo Kola-Daisi, the All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant for the senatorial zone.
Amid lots of cheer and singing, the frontline aspirant, who is currently on a tour of local governments, was received by an impressive crowd at the Odo-Ona Eleja school venue of the event.
Party leaders in the local government took turns to express support for the financial guru, who they unanimously asserted will not only bring true progress to the district, but who also possesses the experience and brilliance to represent the zone and the nation proudly when he gets to the Senate.
In his words, Engr. Ayo Olatunji, Chairman of the Ibadan Southwest leaders, highlighted Kola-Daisi’s competence and ability to carry people along as one of the many reasons they are behind him.
“We are grateful to God for giving us this caliber of candidate to put forward. Kolapo Kola-Daisi is from a revered family in this land, he has shown his competence in many ways, and this crowd here today is a testament to how he has been able to embrace and carry people along in his political journey. We are proud of you and even prouder to declare our total support for you”, he said.
In addition to restating the party’s support, Chief Mabel Williams, a state leader and immediate past State Woman Leader, was full of praise for Kolapo Kola-Daisi’s persona, adding that it is one of the key reasons his candidacy has pleased many.
“Omo daadaa, Omoluabi to tun ti Ile ire wa ni. We have received you with open arms here in Ibadan Southwest. You can be assured all the women are behind you”, said Mrs. Williams.
“Either through direct or indirect Primaries, Kolapo Kola-Daisi will receive 100% of Ibadan Southwest votes. He is the kind of candidate we should be proud to send to Abuja”, another staunch party leader, Hon. Sunday Babalola stated
He then added,”Apart from his clear competence and readiness to do this, he is an original son of the soil who comes from a highly reputable family. In fact, we are more than blessed to have such young and vibrant person to stand up for Oyo South at the Senate. Ibadan Southwest is solidly behind you”.
In his response, Mr. Kolapo Kola-Daisi expressed full gratitude for the overwhelming support of the party faithful that was backed by their massive turnout and werm reception. In his usual manner, he assured them of his readiness to give a truly progressive definition to senatorial representation in Oyo South.
Other leaders present at the event to put their weight behind Kola-Daisi include elder Odetola Baba 2Naira, Alhaji Akande, Elder JP Michael, Mrs. Foluke Akindele, Hon. Tonny Momodu Bankole, and Mogaji Alana Idowu. Others include Leader, Tinuala, Prince Afolabi, Pastor Olagunju, Baba Abee and Alhaja Shiba.
