2023: I’m Still In The Race – Oyo Guber Hopeful, Barr Akeem Agbaje Reiterates, Assures His Supporters of Victory.
A leading Gubernatorial Aspirant, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC), in Oyo State, come 2023, Barrister Akeem Agbaje has countered the rumour of him stepping aside from the pacesetter’s governorship contest.
Barr Agbaje stated that,”I’ve been overwhelmed with calls, text messages, WhatsApp messages and others based on a story going round that I’ve stepped aside from the governorship contest. For the sake of clarification and to set the records straight, I’m still very much in the race and I want to assure all my supporters of victory. By His Grace, I will emerge standard bearer in this ongoing governorship primaries and record landslip victory, in 2023 general election, for our great party,APC as guber flag bearer. InshAllah.
The highly revered gubernatorial Aspirant, Barr Agbaje stated further that,”I remain a committed and consistent governorship aspirant, determined to give good people of Oyo-State purposeful governance, come 2023. So, disregard the rumour of chickening out from the race.
He assured all his supporters to remain calm and committed to his “ADEHUN Governorship Agenda”, to rescue Oyo people from PDP conservative grip of current administration.
Barr Agbaje also used the avenue to encourage the faithful of his party, APC to remain undaunted, even, in the face of challenges facing the party and he assured them of victorious 2023.
Barrister Akeem Agbaje, a legal luminary and illustrious son of Ibadan land, hailed from a family of many firsts; Late Dr. Anthony Saka Agbaje, the first medical doctor of Ibadan origin, Late Chief Abdul Mojeed Folarin Agbaje, the first lawyer of Ibadan Origin; and Late Hon. Justice Abdul Ganiyu Agbaje JSC, the first Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria of Ibadan origin.
Barr. Akeem is a progeny of the Legendary Agbaje Salami L’Ayeye. The Great Agbaje Salami was an earlier Ibadan billionaire, first generation Nigerian politician, influential statesman and notable philanthropist, who immensely contributed his own quota to the sociocultural, socioreligious and sociopolitical advancements and progress of Ibadan Land and its environs.
