2023: Niyi Akintola, Other Oyo APC Stakeholders Host, Okay Osinbajo’s Presidential Aspiration.

From political reportorial vantage point, the visit of the Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, to All Progressives Congress, APC stakeholders in Oyo State was a resounding success.

Arrival at the airport was spectacular with the party’s who is who in attendance. The motorcade out of the airport stopped at the airfield gate to pay homage to the Akintola Movement’s rousing welcome mounted at that point with drummers, dancers, singers and party stalwarts from around the state bearing banners, placards and insignia of APC and the VP’s pictures emblazoned all over them with endearing messages. The VP in his signature act of humility walked amongst the people with Chief Akintola in tow and all other dignitaries from Abuja and security operatives fraternising with the people.

The journey detoured to the Olubadan’s palace where the VP paid homage to the natural ruler, His Imperial Majesty Oba Mahood Lekan Balogun Alli Iwo II.
The entourage finally landed at the Civic Center to a tumultuous welcome except for the intermittent rowdy interruptions of the “rent a crowd” elements planted in the aisle as usual by the subterfuge masters.
There were speeches delivered by APC leadership in the state one which was given by Chief Adeniyi Akintola, SAN who said ” everyone in the party agrees with the candidature of VP Osinbajo” but maybe not on so many other things.
Then the major and much expected speech was introduced and the VP delivered to the house with satisfaction. He sang, exchanged pleasantries and knocked on wood about his ambition to run for the presidency of Nigeria a message to which the entire hall chorused “YES, RUN !” we will support you.
