2023: Oladiran Alabi Resigns APC Membership, Joins Accord Party
A leading aspirant for Oyo State House of Assembly, from Ibadan South West Constituency-I, Honourable Oladiran Alabi has resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress(APC) and joined Accord Party.
This newspaper, Africano Trumpeters has earlier reported how Hon. Oladiran submitted a petition to the appeal committee, of APC, set up to hear the cases of primaries in Oyo state. The committee is led by Barrister Adeoye AbdulRazak.
Alabi protested against the alleged irregularities that marred the constituency’s party primaries and what he described as the compromised nature of APC state Chairman, Hon Isaac Omodewu and his team for their secrecy with the names of delegates and the venue of the exercise.
In his words,”I am grateful to you all, for your fervent prayers and continued supports on this journey, especially, from the beginning and throughout the process of the primary election of All Progressives Congress(APC), for Ibadan South West Constituency-I.
“I am sure we are all aware of the inconsistencies that marred the purported outcome of that exercise, but I can assure our supporters that we are not deterred in the quest to bring responsible, responsive, reliable and quality representation to the people of my constituency. So, after wider consultation with our teeming supporters and critical stakeholders of my agenda, I’ve resigned my APC membership and joined Accord Party.
“Again, I thank my good people of Ibadan South West Constituency-I. Without you, our aspiration will lack direction and now, there is accord for our agenda in Accord Party. I remain committed to serve my good people of Ibadan South West Constituency-I and together we can. Let’s go there and victory is ours.” He added.
