2023: Oyo Central Senatorial Primaries Marred With Irregularities, Remained Inconclusive – Says “Irede Team”.

Honourable ‘Bimbo Kolade’s Campaign Organisation, “TEAM IREDE” has reacted to the All Progressives Congress, APC primaries of Oyo Central senatorial election and described the exercise as inconclusive.

Team Irede maintained that the news in circulation that some aspirants have won the party primaries are fake and fraudulent. The group described it as figment of imagination of some blind supporters.

While addressing media, spokesperson of Irede Team, Kehinde Ekerin said that,”We as a team were on ground on the 28th of May 2022 at Royal seed event centre at Akinyele local government where inconclusive primaries took place. Some aspirants brought their doctored list in collaboration with Abuja official in which several delegates names were missing on it and they were disenfranchised from performing their civic right. The list used was against the authentic list released from Abuja.

“Many authentic delegates left the venue without voting simply because their names were missing on the list. Ona-Ara delegates were not accredited let alone casting a single vote. The official umpire who was supposed to be the hope to the hopeless in person of Mrs. Babatunde left with the vote cast but told the aspirants she will not do anything until Ona-Ara issue is resolved. She left the venue of the primaries unannounced, even without anyone knowing.

“Till this moment, we have not heard from her except the news flying around in social media. We hereby dissociate ourselves from any forms of results or congratulatory messages that is attached to ‘IREDE TEAM’. We will pursue this legally and carry out a forensic investigation of all the list and materials used in the inconclusive exercise.” Ekerin stated.

“Note that other senatorial centres were marred with violence but Hon. Bimbo Kolade remains a man of peace and maintained his ground that no one should forment any trouble in the centre. his is what we call ‘OMOLUWABI’. Thank you all.” Team Irede submitted.
