2023: Oyo Youths to Walk for Tinubu, Shettima In Ibadan.
This Thursday, September 15, 2022, all roads will lead to the Oke-Ado, Ibadan permanent secretariat of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo State, as youths across the state will walk to mobilize support the presidential aspiration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Billed for 8 am, various youth groups working for Tinubu and his vice, Kashim Shettima, Hausa community as well as individuals would join other chieftains of the APC at the venue.
Oyo Youths for Asiwaju, who is convening the walk, said it was in a bid to get more support for the aspiration of the former Lagos governor, adding that all plans have been perfected to make it hitch-free.
Qazeem Oreitan speaking on behalf of the group, explained that “We have decided to do this in order to mobilize support for the presidential and vice-presidential ambitions of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Sen. Kashim Shettima. It was borne out of nothing but the need to contribute our quota to nation building. We believe Asiwaju and Shettima, with their track records as senators and governors in their various states, at different times. We believe we are lucky to have the joint ticket at this particular point in our history and that is why we are putting this up.
“This isn’t going to be one off. When campaign starts properly, we have events lined up to reach voters. We will not stop at anything to see to the realization of the ambition of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu,” he stated.
