Grand Council of Yoruba Youths has supported “2023 Rotational Presidency”. The Council carpeted People’s Democratic(PDP), Gov. Yahaya Bello, Hon. Sanni Yerima and others kicking against zoning. They described them as enemies of progress.

The Council saluted Prof. Wole Soyinka at 87, Charles Akinola at 65, Paul Adelabu at 60 and congratulate Bolanle Awe. They also mourned Sound Sultan, Loremikan, remembered Bamidele Aturu and George Iwilade.

This is contained in a press release issued by the President-Genetal of the Council, Comrade AWA Bamiji which was made available to the newsmen in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo-State.

“The voice of a man is the voice of God, ‘Voix Popil, Voix Dei’. Disowning zoning arrangement against 2023 Presidency by the opposition Party, PDP, is the best language that the Party understands to express its gratitude to the bulk of the electorates from the Southeast and Southsouth that voted enmass for the Party both in 2015 and 2019. This shows that the party lacks focus and the aftermath of this could be suicidal as the sitting governors and Federal Legislators have already been defecting from the Party to the ruling APC as if they all knew before that the Captain of the Ship of the Party was heading towards the Rock”, AWA Bamiji stated.

Bamiji further said that, “The Southern Governors’ Forum (SGF) where the electoral strength of the Party comes from, had earlier approved the Rotational Presidency and publicly announced the 2023 Presidential election to be the turn of the South before the Uche Secondus led Excos came out to say another thing in their bid to finally wreck the Ship of the Party before jumping out.

“Rotational Presidency is a divine project that will promote unity, equity, fairness and justice among the ethic groups and it is high time, the PDP as opposition party, Governor Yaya Bello of Kogi State (APC, Senator Sanni Yerima of Zamfara State (APC) and other upcoming political trouble shooters understood this perfectly before getting more intoxicated by spending the intimidating largesse at their disposal beyond what they can control in good time so as not to invite the wrath of Almighty God over themselves by going bankrupt or insolvent.
