2023: TLF Hails Tinubu over Shettima’s Selection As VP • You’ve Chosen Wisely, Nigerians Will Be so Lucky to Have Both of You At Helm of Affairs – BoT Chair, Alh Akeem Says.

Tinubu Legacy Forum(TLF), a frontline socio-political movement, and Non-Governmental Organization(NGO) registered with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), mobilizing supports for the presidential agenda of the former Governor of Lagos State and All Progressives Congress(APC) Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu “Jagaban” has hailed their Principal, Tinubu over the selection of his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima.

In his words, the TLF Board of Trustees’ Chairman, Alhaji Ganiyu Akeem while lauding Asiwaju Tinubu said that,”You’ve chosen wisely, and we’re truly confident that Nigerians will be so lucky to have both of you at the helm of affairs as her president and vice president, from 2023. Indeed, in all ramifications, you’re the best men for the job. Once again, congratulations, sirs.

Recall that Tinubu had earlier on Sunday unveiled the choice of his running mate shortly after paying Sallah homage to President Muhammad Buhari in Daura, Kastina State.

TLF stated that the ruling party, APC will become more viable, maintained that the country will benefit enormously from the ingenuity, charisma, capacity,  capability, experience, and leverage of the duo as its standard bearers.

TLF appealed to Nigerians to ignore reactionary politicians who fan embers of discord by playing racial and religious cards.”Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his chosen Deputy, Sen Kashim Shettima are detribalized Nigerians and liberal Muslims who treat people equally as members of human race. Their records and antecedents have proven both of them as integrous and great minded men who do not discriminate against people based on their region or religion, colour or creed. So, let’s shun reactionary politicians who fan embers of discord, by playing racial and religious cards, to actualise their ulterior motives.

While extolling Shettima, TLF said that,”The process of national recovery of our great country, Nigeria has just started with the choice of Sen. Shettima. It’s crystalline clear that the former Borno state governor is endowed, sagacious, able, loyal, reliable, passionate and dedicated.

“He has vast experience in banking and he has been a lecturer at a University. He served in five different Ministries in Borno State as Commissioner, that is Ministries of Finance, Local Government, Agriculture, Health and Education before serving as Governor of the State for two-term”,

The group continued, “He is now a Senator. His footprints in the sand of time in Borno State have become indelible. His legacy has become immortal and it speaks volumes. This is the first time in our democratic settings that the Joint ticket holders in any party have served in the executive and legislative arms of government, as senators and governors at different times before contesting for the Presidency.

“Truly Nigerians will speak with their votes come 2023 based on the verifiable record of performances, experience, and capabilities not on sentimental considerations regarding religion, ethnicity, or any other discriminatory criteria. It is true that “Indeed, this combination is perfect and Nigerians will be the greatest beneficiaries.

“Though religion has been used to divide us as a people, however, humanity, patriotism, statesmanship and a real desire for change will take lead and bring us together as a strong, united, peaceful, purposeful and prosperous country from 2023 with the emergence of Sen. Tinubu and Gov  Shettima as our new leaders as a country by the special grace of Almighty God.

The group thanked President Muhammadu Buhari and the leadership of APC for approving the choice of Shettima as the running mate while seeking the support of Nigerians to take the opportunity it presents in writing a new chapter of unity of purpose for the country by voting massively for Tinubu – Shettima ticket to break all shackles that have held “us down as a nation and move ahead to build a new country that we all can be proud of.

“Now that the presidential primary is done and dusted, and running mate has been chosen, successfully, let’s go to the general elections, victoriously…. Unequivocally, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his second in command, Sen. Tinubu are born and great leaders who know the ways, go the ways and show the ways. They’re tested and trusted. They’ve efficiently managed the affairs of their respective states and effectively led progressive party to victories at different strata. The duo are the best men for the presidential job, come 2023.
