2023: We’re Fully With You, APC – Ex Council Vice Chairmen Endorse Sen Folarin As Next Oyo Governor
Former Members of the Association of Local Government Vice Chairmen of Nigeria(ALGVCON), Oyo-State chapter have paid solidarity visit, and declared supports for the 2023 gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress(APC), in the state, Senator Teslim Folarin, and endorsed him as the next helmsman of the pacesetter state, on Friday, at his Oluyole residence, in Ibadan.
In his opening speech, the former Chairman of Oyo ALGVCON, and incumbent Chairman of the party, APC, in Ibadan Northwest Local Government, Honourable Kunle Kadri maintained that the forum of the former Vice Chairmen is fully committed to the electoral victory of Sen. Folarin and that of all the flagbearers of the party, across the board.
In his remarks, Hon. Sharafadeen Atilade of Shaki Local Government lauded Sen. Folarin as the best man for the job, who is fully equipped and committed to rescue Oyo State from the grip of the conservative forces come, 2023. He emphasized the strengths of the ex council deputy gaffers and maintained that the group has unanimously resolved to work for the victory of the party at all strata.
While commenting, former Chairperson of Iwa LCDA, Comrade Abigael Gbolasire hailed Sen. Folarin, and the party’s leadership for putting proper conflict resolution mechanism in place and she stated that APC remains best party to beat in 2023. She encouraged Sen. Folarin and overall APC leadership to always prioritize the women’s interests and their inclusion in all programmes.
Hon. Jacob Akintola of Ibarapa East, and anchor of the meeting, reminisced good deeds and exemplary antecedents of Sen. Folarin. He maintained that the forum is totally committed to the landslide victory of the party, at all levels, come 2023.
Former Council Vice Chair of Aare Latosa Local Council, Comrade Monsuru Adeyemo (Socrates), hailed Sen. Folarin’s pro-people programmes and he emphasized the issues that bothered on political communication of the party’s standard bearers. He also encouraged Sen. Folarin and all candidates to run all inclusive campaign structures and intensify efforts on reconciliation.
Former Council Vice Chairman of Ona Ara LG, and former Secretary of Oyo ALGVCON, Hon. Samuel Olajide Esuola described Sen. Folarin as the “only best man for the job that this moment calls for”. He stated that the former senate leader is the only Guber Candidate capable to rescue the pacesetter state from the reactionary elements, presently, manning its affairs.
While reacting, Sen. Folarin appreciated the former Local Government and LCDA’s Executive Vice Chairmen for their unalloyed supports and patriotism.”Thank you all and I really appreciate your unalloyed loyalty to our great Party, APC and together we shall coast home victory”. He stated
Folarin continued,”I’m a developmental and grassroots politician. I love good people of Oyo-State and I mean well for our this great state. By His Grace, I and my party, APC, are coming to rescue the state from the grip of incompetent leadership and we’re coming to serve the pacesetter state meritoriously.
Sen. Folarin, emphatically, canvased support for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidential bid and charged all APC faithful to throw their weights behind all the party’s candidates, at all strata, to record landslide victory.
Bashorun Bosun Ajuwon, in his own remarks, fostered unity among the party faithful and maintained that APC remains the only acceptable party to beat in Oyo-State and across Nigeria, come 2023. Ajuwon appealed to all aggrieved members of the party to sheath their swords and join hands with the leadership of the party in the state, to reclaim Oyo-State and retain federal government.
Opening prayer was said by Hon. Salamotu Olayanju of Kajola LG and the closing prayer was said by Hon. Kole Adeife of Ido LG.

Ademola Adio of Afijio LCDA, Hon. Aremu Sule of Akorede LCDA, Hon. Samson Oladunni of Ogo Oluwa West, Hon. Ibrahim Alade of Surulere, Hon. Fatai Alowo of Orelope, Hon. Adegboyega Alabi of Oke’Badan LCDA, Hon. Julius Ogunsanya of Iwajowa, Hon. Salami Muniru of Araromi LCDA, Hon. Julius Adeniji of Itesiwaju, and Hon. Olubunmi Bankole of Ibadan Northeast.
Some others who could not make it to the meeting sent their solidarity greetings and supportive messages to Sen. Folarin and Oyo APC.
