2023: We’re Political Juggernauts, APC in Severe Pain over Our Defection – Ibadan South East Leaders, Ajibade, Gbayawu, Akinbiyi, Others Counter “Purported Rejoinder”, Reaffirm Stand
APC IN SEVERE PAIN OVER DEFECTION OF IBADAN SOUTH EAST POLITICAL JUGGERNAUTS.
Our attention has been drawn to tissue of lies orchestrated by APC propagandists in connection with our successful defection to PDP . We have no regret whatsoever and we state unequivocally that our resolution to disengage our membership from an undemocratic political structure (OYO APC) to a more reliable and realistic political system is sacrosanct, subsisting and unwavering .
We hereby state further as follows :
1.That the said Remi Olalekan is not one of us and as such, has no right to speak for us. His purported rejoinder is unfounded and irrelevant. Since the news coverage of our defection didn’t mention his name, it makes no sense for him to issue a rejoinder on same. He is at best, a meddlesome interloper who is seeking for cheap media popularity.
- The author of the rejoinder and his co-travellers lack sincerity, integrity and tact, as they mentioned some chieftains in the rejoinder. We challenge them to produce the photographs, video and signatures of those mentioned to prove that they approved of the fake rejoinder.
- We are men of honour and integrity and will never approbate and reprobate for whatever reasons. Our resolution to decamp to PDP was borne out of deep reflection, and was taken in the best interest of our teeming supporters. The photo and video evidence showing where the hands of incoming Senator Olasunkanmi Tegbe were raised by our leaders is sufficient enough to corroborate our position, which remains unshaken.
- We are not surprised by the figment of imagination of the writer. We are not oblivious of the fact that APC would suffer greatly for allowing undersigned political juggernats to cross over to PDP.
- APC has lost its progressive affinity in Oyo State due to recklessness, high-handedness and injustice which now prevail in the party. We cannot and we will never continue to be subjected to the whims and caprices of some unscrupulous political elements who possess neither political pedigree nor electoral values.
- It is on record that we sent warnings / signals to the party leadership without success, therefore ,if we failed to act decisively, the generations yet unborn would not forgive us for allowing evil and injustice to thrive over our teeming supporters. Aside from outright monopoly of party excecutives from Wards, Local and State levels , the party felt unconcerned to our yearnings for belated lingering crisis. It is no more a news that few individuals also monopolized the Local , State and National delegates to their cronies in Ibadan South East Local Government, you can not eat your cake and have it. When it was evidently clear to us that there is nothing to negotiate and or reconcile with, we thereby considered it imperative to cross over to PDP courtesy of a perfect gentleman, a man of the people and a philanthropist per excellence, Mógaji (Engr) Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe.
- APC is full of deceit, oppression and suppression of people will hence we concluded that our relationship has broken down irretrievably. Only a deluded person would remain in a party that seems to be governed by the wisdom of fools, wherein the interest of its teeming supporters would not be protected.
It is against the backdrop of the aforementioned reckless, selfish and egocentric motive of some political actors in Ibadan South East Local Government that we decided wholeheartedly to dump the sinking ship for a sensitive political party; PDP. We sincerely sympathise with APC for their loss from which they may never recover even after 2023 election . How could someone lose a Zonal leader of the party in the State and would not suffer a severe pain?
We hereby humbly inform the general public to disregard the purported rejoinder as there is nothing of such in our camp. We also wish to state unequivocally that we believe in the good governance and adminstration of Engr . Oluseyi Makinde who has performed well enough to earn second term in office. We equally resolve that we shall lend our full support towards the emergence of Engr. Olasunkanmi Tegbe as the Senator representing Oyo South Senatorial district.
