2027: GMT Backs Tinubu’s Re-election Bid, Canvasses Massive Support for PBAT in Oyo State

The Grassroots Movement for Tinubu (GMT) is mobilising support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid come next year, 2027, with a significant endorsement and inauguration ceremony set to take place on Saturday, January 24, 2026.
The event is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at the Rolak Event Centre, located beside Kolapo Ishola GRA in Akobo, Ibadan. The grassroots movement invited APC loyalists, local government coordinators, and the general public to attend and show their support.
Leading the initiative is Hon. Prince Bisi Yusuf, the National Director General, along with Alhaja Aminat Romoke Oparemi (Opasan), the Oyo State Director General, who is also known as “The Mother of Grassroots.” Their leadership is expected to galvanise a strong turnout from party members and supporters alike.
“GMT! In God We Trust! This event is a pivotal moment for all APC faithful in Oyo State to come together and reaffirm our commitment to President Tinubu’s vision for the nation,” said Oparemi.
As the political landscape heats up in anticipation of the 2027 elections, the grassroots movement aims to solidify Tinubu’s support base and mobilise resources for his campaign.
GMT leadership encouraged supporters to participate in the event which promises to be a landmark occasion, signifying unity and hope as the chieftains work towards ensuring a successful re-election campaign for President Tinubu.
