2027 House of Reps Hopeful, Asiwaju Olumide Alli Pays Tribute to Hon Isaac Omodewu, As Late APC Chairman Goes Home.
The body of the late Oyo State All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman, Barrister Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu, yesterday, arrived in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, prompting an outpouring of condolences from party members and leaders.
Asiwaju Olumide Yaqub Alli (OYA), a compassionate and people-focused aspirant for the House of Representatives from Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency come 2027, paid a heartfelt tribute to the late party leader, describing him as a “unifying force” who dedicated his life to fostering harmony and cooperation among party members.
Former Council Leader, Hon. Alli, praised Omodewu’s remarkable life, saying his impact would be remembered through the countless lives he influenced.
Yesterday, a memorial service was held at the Oke-Ado APC State Secretariat, while a Christian wake and tribute night took place at the Victoria Garden Event Centre, opposite The Polytechnic Ibadan.
The funeral service will be held today, Friday, September 13, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, Otu, Itesiwaju LGA.
Alli offered his condolences to the immediate family and the entire APC family in the state, acknowledging the immense loss caused by Omodewu’s passing.
Hon. Alli urged the party leadership to ensure that Omodewu’s legacy endures, honouring his memory and continuing his work towards a united and peaceful APC. “May his soul find eternal rest,” Alli said, as the party mourns the loss of a true leader and champion of unity.
