2027: Oyo APC Intensifies Reconciliation, Vows to Boot Makinde’s PDP out of Govt House As Progressive Party Holds Stakeholders’ Summit Tomorrow

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has announced that the party leadership will hold a stakeholders’ summit on Friday in Ibadan.

This summit aims to refine the ongoing reconciliation efforts among its members and prepare for a successful outcome in the upcoming general election.

The meeting will be facilitated by the Renewed Hope Ambassadors of President Bola Tinubu.

This event comes just two months after the party conducted a successful leadership summit in Ibadan, which received praise from many stakeholders both within the state and beyond.

In a statement issued on Monday and made available to journalists in Ibadan by its Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, Oyo APC expressed its delight at “the current situation of things in the party under the leadership of the state chairman, Alhaji Olayide Abas, who has received tremendous support from virtually all the stakeholders to achieve a more cohesive and formidable party ahead of the 2027 polls.”

According to the statement, among the stakeholders expected at the Friday meeting slated for 10 a.m. at the APC State Secretariat in Oke-Ado, Ibadan, are:

  1. Former Deputy Governors
  2. Former and serving National Assembly members
  3. Former and serving ministers and other appointees of the federal government.
  4. Former and serving members of the Oyo State House of Assembly 
  5. Former and serving APC National/Zonal Officers
  6. Former and serving APC State Working Committee members
  7. Former Secretaries to the State Government
  8. Former Chiefs of Staff to the Governor
  9. Former Deputy Chiefs of Staff to the Gov.
  10. Former Commissioners
  11. Former local government chairmen and vice chairmen
  12. Former and serving local government APC chairmen
  13. Former Special Advisers and Senior Special Assistants to the Governor, as well as former Heads of Govt Agencies.
  14. Three representatives of the APC Councillors Forum.
  15. Two representatives of the 2024 APC Chairmanship Candidate Forum and the 2024 Councillorship Candidate Forum
