5th Remembrance: Rest On, The Legendary Figure of All Times – MHR Hopeful, Socrates Hails Late Gov Ajimobi
Honourable Monsuru Akintunde Adeyemo popularly known as Socrates, the former Vice Chairman of Aare Latosa Local Council in Oyo State, has commemorated the fifth anniversary of the passing of Senator Abiola Ajimobi, the state’s late governor.
Gov. Ajimobi, who served from 2011 until 2019, is remembered as a transformative figure in Oyo State’s political landscape.
In a heartfelt statement released today in Ibadan, Hon. Socrates, a leading aspirant in the forthcoming byelection of Ibadan North Federal Constituency described the late Oyo helmsman as the legendary figure of all times.
Adeyemo reflected on Gov. Ajimobi’s significant contributions to the state, highlighting his visionary leadership and enduring legacy. “My dear leader, mentor and benefactor; the architect of modern Oyo State and legendary figure of all times, Senator Abiola Ajimobi! You came, you saw, and you conquered. Your footprints are indelible on the sands of time, and you extraordinarily transformed Oyo State.
Socrates expressed pride in Gov. Ajimobi’s achievements, describing him as a seasoned administrator and charismatic leader whose policies and initiatives laid the groundwork for the state’s growth. They emphasised that even five years after his transition to the great beyond, his influence remains palpable across various sectors in Oyo State.
“Today, we remember you with deep respect and gratitude for your service. Your vision and dedication to the welfare of the people will always inspire future leaders. Adieu, Iconic Leader,” Socrates extolled.
