A Year Remembrance: ‘I KNOW A MAN’ – Muyiwa Bhadmos ‘Ribadu’ Pens Emotional Tribute for Idowu Salami.
“They say true friendship is worth a billion dollars, but a grain of truth transcends beyond familiarity.
I know a man; young, strong, intelligent and smart. A support personality for the needy, a perfect shoulder to rest on.
I know a man; selfless and ready to give his all for mankind. As he’s known; ‘Ore Mekunu’ (Friend of the masses), a genuine concern.
I know a man; that will give his N40 out of his N50 just that you might have that life you desire.
I know a man; though he has nothing but yet he owns all things. With solutions at the snap of his finger, always basking in the surpassing grace of God to come through for you.
I know a man; his name is IDOWU AJIBOLA OMO LEKAN SALAMI.
Idowu”s ideology of business is transiting and ever evolving. I have learnt so much from him as investment is concerned. He opened my eyes to understand that you can always thrive in the midst of struggles. Your environment should not determine your progress.
Even though I lead you (him) in politics, still we both share a like mind of induced partisanship. The people are more important than the reasons. You once said; ” when the….”
Your type is rare to come by. You will not because of the 2kobo shared by politians soil your name.
You always said ‘Lekan Saami’s name for you is bigger than any ambition and you will never bring it a stain’. Even your brothers have kept the glory of that name.
A friend like you is hard to find. A brother like you is a confidence to sleep on.
Times shared together were a whole book of experiences. Every moment spent with you has always been so fruitful as there was no day without a lesson to go home with.
We planned together. We dreamt together. We thought together, we acted together. You were like a hinds feet.
Above all, your passion and love for Jesus are worthy of emulation. ‘God first’ is your mantra. This we shared until you went home to be with Him.
You are no doubt an inspiration.
Sleep on my friend. Your legacy lives on.
Fondly remembered by your coordinators; Idowu Salami Campaign Organisation(ISCO)
