“ADEHUN 2023”: Oyo Guber Hopeful, Akeem Agbaje Hosts Igbo Farmers Union, Assures All Inclusive Governance.

A Leading Gubernatorial Hopeful, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC), in Oyo-State, come 2023, Barrister Akeem Agbaje has played host to the leadership of the Igbo Farmers Union, Ibadan North chapter, in his office, yesterday, in Ibadan, the state capital.

While addressing the delegates, the Legal Luminary, Agbaje stated that, “On behalf of myself and campaign organisation, It’s my pleasure to welcome you all, the leadership of the reputable Igbo Farmers Union in Ibadan North Local Government Area of Oyo-State, here today. Indeed I’m happy that you’re here to identify with us and our ‘ADEHUN Gubernatorial Project-2023’, an agendum put forward to make life more better for good people of Oyo-State.

“As our campaign mantra reflects,’Adehun’, which means promise, I’m saying it clearly that it’s our genuine promise that if the mandate is given to us, come 2023, I and my would be cabinet members, will make life more better for the indigenes and residents of this great state, irrespective of their creed or colour, region or religion”, he reiterated.

“If voted into power, our government will strongly focus on youth and women development. Women empowerment is sacrosanct because women are the bedrocks of the family, by extension, society and the nation at large.

“Good and affordable transportation system is long overdue in Oyo State and our government will make it a priority. It’s part of our programmes to make electricity available to all citizens of Oyo State. Adequate power supply will definitely boost business activities, industrialization and productivity, in the state.

While responding, the leader of the delegates, Emeka Agwaraonye, described Barr. Agbaje as a detribalized Nigerian and lover of masses who leaves his doors opened to people irrespective of their faiths or states of origin. “Great minds think alike, our requests from you as a would be Governor of Oyo-State, by His Grace, are as the same things as your gubernatorial programmes. They are women empowerment, good transportation system in the state, creating enabling environment for business to drive in the state and our own personal requests as farmers. We want your government to be farmers- friendly, so, we are as well strongly requesting for farmers empowerment.

Barr. Akeem is a progeny of the Legendary Agbaje Salami L’Ayeye. The Great Agbaje Salami was an earlier Ibadan billionaire, first generation Nigerian politician, influential statesman and notable philanthropist who had immensely contributed his quota to the sociocultural, socioreligious and sociopolitical advancements of Ibadan Land and its environs.
