Agbaje Commiserates with Victims of Ibadan Explosion, Charges Govt on Investigation

The Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, Barrister Akeem Agbaje, has commiserated with victims of the explosion that rocked Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, yesterday evening.

The legal luminary, Barr Agbaje, while sympathising with the people affected, expressed shock at the devastating effect of the explosion, which caused panic all over the city, and urged the state government to conduct a thorough investigation into the remote and immediate causes of the incident.

“It was indeed very unfortunate. Seeing the huge loss of lives and properties is very sad to bear. I condole with everyone who lost someone or even property in the disaster. May Almighty Allah grant them succour.

“I want to urge the Oyo State government led by Governor Seyi Makinde to conduct a thorough investigation into the root cause of the event, and justice should be served on anyone culpable, regardless of whose ox is gored.

“It is disturbing to know that dangerous explosives are being stored in residential houses. This is a clarion call to security agencies in the state to buckle up and be more vigilant to ensure dangerous activities are nipped in the bud.

“Oyo State has been largely peaceful, and for us to continue to enjoy progress and development, we need to maintain the peace and security the previous administration tirelessly laboured for.” He stated.
