Barrister Akeem Agbaje, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Chief Michael Adeniyi Koleoso, a former Secretary to the Oyo State Government and National Chairman of the defunct Alliance for Democracy.
Agbaje described Koleoso’s death as a “painful loss” and noted that Oyo State and Nigeria have lost a detribalized statesman and political titan who played outstanding roles in state and national development.
In a statement on Tuesday, Agbaje praised Koleoso as a passionate and charismatic leader who dedicated his life to serving Oyo State and Nigeria. He extended his condolences to the immediate and political families of the deceased leader, the people of Saki, and all residents of Oyo State, praying for God to grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.
Agbaje said, “I received the news of Baba Michael Koleoso’s death with shock and sadness. He was a gem, and his loss is a huge blow to our state and nation.”
Koleoso, who until his death was the Babalaje of Saki, will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the people of Oyo State, who benefited from his selfless service and leadership.
