Ago-Are Day: MHR Hopeful, Jacob ‘Funmi Ogunmola Graces Occasion, Gives Financial Supports towards Completion of Monarch’s Palace.

Former Chairman of ATISBO Local Government Area of Oyo-State, Honourable Jacob ‘Funmi Ogunmola has graced the “Annual Ago-Are Day celebration which took place on Saturday, November 13, in Ago-Are.

The Member, House of Representatives(MHR) Hopeful, Hon. Ogunmola while addressing the Aare of Ago Are, invited guests, and his fellow illustrious sons and daughters of Ago-Are, at home and in diasporas, who gathered at the event saluted the courage of Kabiesi, His Royal Majesty Oba(Dr) Michael Abodunrin Oyetunji Kofoworola Ilufemiloye Olakanla -II, the Are of Ago-Are Land for advancing progress of the town.

In his words,”Your Royal Majesty, Sir, the Are of Ago-Are and entire royal fathers here present. I greet our fathers and mothers, too. Happy celebrations Ooo and may we observe many of it alive. I greet the Chairman of this occasion who just donated money towards completion of our monarch’s palace and by His Grace, I will also donate 2,0,50,000(two million and fifty thousand naira towards the palatial project.

While commending Ogunmola, the Master of Ceremony(MC) extolled his virtues as constant supporter of people and he stated that,”This is what I’m saying. Let’s promote ours. Indeed, the type of Ogunmola is very rare and let’s treasure him. You see, he’s no more in government but he’s still performing excellently. He’s just eyeing the seat of federal representatives in 2023 and if we push him forward to represent us in the National Assembly, come 2023, don’t you see that we’ll never regret it.

The MC furthered,”Let’s shun politics of bitterness. This is fifteen years ago that I’ve been handling events of his poverty alleviation programs, widows’ empowerment schemes among others, beyond this local government through his Foundation and this is how he’s been supporting his community in Lagos, too and whoever that come across him, indeed, Funmi Ogunmola is a born humanitarianist and charismatic leader of all times.

While addressing the press, after the program, as an illustrious Son of Ago-Are, Ogunmola who could not hide his joy maintained that,”It’s my job to be here today and it’s always been my pride to support the progress of my native town, Ago-Are, ATISBO, Oke-Ogun, Oyo-State and Nigeria, at large. My prayer is that may we witness more of this celebration and may our town continue to prosper in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ, amen.

“I want to appeal to all of us who are sons and daughters of this town, at home and in diasporas. Let’s join hands together and let’s support Kabiesi to develop this town. Yes, we have potentials. We have people who are professionals at many fronts. Be it judges, lawyers, medical doctors, accountants among others. So, these are our strengths and let’s muster it together to better the lot of our town”, Ogunmola encouraged.

Previously, Hon. Ogunmola has mobilized people, across the country, who have donated multi millions of naira towards the completion of the palace and development of the town, Ago-Are.

In his royal response, Oba Michael Abodunrin Oyetunji described Ogunmola as a pride of the town and prayed that may God Almighty always guide and guard him.

Hon. Jacob ‘Funmi Ogunmola is a detribalized Nigerian who has immensely assisted people in his Local Government, Federal Constituency, Ogun Zone, Oyo-State and across the country irrespective of their creed or colour. He is a Christian devout and notable philanthropist from ATISBO Local Government Area of Oyo-State.
