Prominent people from all walks of life, yesterday, have graced the “First Abiola Ajimobi Memorial Ramadan Lecture” which was held at the late Governor Ajimobi’s Mosque, “Ishaq Abiola Ajimobi Central Mosque”, Oke Ado in Ibadan.
The lecture titled “Kosi Aje’gbe L’odo Olohun(Nothing goes without reward from Almighty Allah) was delivered by the reputable Islamic Scholar, Sheikh Muhyideen Ajani Bello(Oniwasi Agbaye).
In his welcome address, a confidant of the late governor and the planning committee Chairman of the program, Alhaji Murisiku Abidemi Siyanbade thanked the invited guests and lauded everybody that has been standing with late Governor Ajimobi’s family since the demise of the late governor.
In his goodwill message, an high Chief in Ibadan land and close confidant to late Governor Ajimobi, Mogaji Wasiu Ajimobi, who is a blood brother to Governor Ajimobi, extolled the virtues of the guest lecturer, Alhaji Muhyideen Bello, as an unalloyed truth sayer who is like his late brother. “More than a decade ago, my brother was watching your lecture on TV and he called our attention to it that look at this man, Alhaji Muhyideen Bello, I love him so much because he says truth always. And this statement convinced me that you and my late brother could later closely go a long way and became very intimate because of your integrous personalities. Both of you are lovers of truth and you say things as it is. Thank you for all you did for my late brother and thank you for all you are still doing for us, sir. Jazakum Lau Kaeran”, Mogaji Ajimobi appreciated.
In his own remarks, the Senator representing Oyo North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Dr Buhari Abdulfatai described the late Governor as a blessing to Oyo-State and his benefactor. He reaffirmed it that he will always be proud to identify with the late Governor Ajimobi’s family, his success stories and his legacies as a seasoned administrator and legendary figure of all times.
In his own goodwill message, the All Progressives Congress(APC) Gubernatorial Candidate in 2019 General Election, Chief AbdulWaheed Adebayo Adelabu extolled Ajimobi’s virtues and described him as his benefactor. “Governor Ajimobi is our Oga. He meant and did well for us and this great state. May Allah Subhana Huwa Ta’ala continue blessing his soul”, Adelabu prayed.
While Commenting, the Asiwaju Adini of Oyo-State, Alhaji Mutiu Oladejo(Onimalu), described the late Governor Ajimobi as a rare gem. He prayed for the late Governor and frowned at the absence of many of his beneficiaries at his”First Memorial Ramadan Lecture”.
In his vote of thanks,the biological Son of the late Governor Ajimobi, El-Hadji Eedris Ajimobi thanked all the guests and everybody that has been standing with the Ajimobi family since the demise of their Patriarch. He prayed that may Allah continue to repose the soul of the late Governor and he used the avenue to present the “Appreciation Award” to Alhaji Muhyideen Bello as the closest “Religious Leader to the late Governor. The award has been kept, by the late governor, in the custody of one of late Governor Ajimobi’s godsons and the Vice Chairman of Aare Latosa LCDA in Oyo-State, Comrade Monsur Akin-Adeyemo(Socrates) since December 16,2019 during the 70th birthday ceremony of the late Governor and the last one He observed on earth.
