Alaafin At 82: Oyo ALGON Congratulates, Eulogizes Oba Lamidi Adeyemi .
The Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON),Oyo State chapter on Thursday, has felicitated with the Alaafin of Oyo empire, His Imperial Majesty, Oba(Dr) Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III, Iku Baba Yeye, on his 82th birthday.
In a statement by its Chairman, Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye said he joined the Council of Obas and Chiefs in Oyo State, Traditional Council, family and friends of the Alaafin of Oyo, in celebrating the highly revered monarch, who is an authority in Yoruba cultural history.
The Chairman, Aleshinloye described Alaafin as a worthy custodian of Yoruba culture and heritage and a good ambassador of the Yoruba race.
“You have not only continued to use your exalted throne to promote peace, harmony and progress in your kingdom and Oyo State, you have also continued in making unwavering efforts in your determined quest to reposition our dear nation for enduring stability and sustained growth and development” he said.
“May you reign long on the throne of your fathers and may your tribe never diminish in the land. Happy birthday Kabiyesi”, Prince Ayodeji Abbas Aleshinloye prayed .
