Alaafin’s Death Is A Deep Personal Loss – Faozey Mourns.
Oyo Central Senatorial Aspirant, Engr Faozey Oladotun Nurudeen(FON) has reacted to the death of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III who joined his ancestors in the early hours of yesterday.
Faozey who released a statement through his media office, said although the late monarch lived a fulfilled life, yet his death is still a painful pill because he enjoyed a father-son’s relationship with him.
“Baba’s death is a loss not just to Oyo Kingdom but to the entire Yoruba land. Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III was a mobile library and a custodian of old and contemporary history. He was a wise king who provided counsel to the younger generation. He stood as a hallmark of culture. This loss is unquantifiable but we take refuge in the supremacy of Almighty Allah.
“May the royal family and the entire kingdom be comforted and may Almighty Allah grant him Al-jannah Firdaus.” He prayed.
