Annual Children’s Event: Thank You for Shaping the Future—Agbaje Lauds AMIS Commitment to Education, Moral Values

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State and former NBA Chairman, Barr Akeem Agbaje, has praised the Association of Model Islamic Schools, Nigeria (AMIS), Oyo State Chapter, for their dedication to shaping the future of Islam and positively impacting the community. The commendation came during the 2024/1446 Annual Children’s Get-Together, held in honour of Alhaji (Sheikh) Abdulwahab Bayo Ahmad.

Barr Agbaje, represented by Mogaji Abdulrafiu Bola Akinyemi, chaired the event, themed “Muslim Youth: Modernism and Crime.

In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media, Prince Egunleti Benjamin, Agbaje expressed deep appreciation to AMIS for their role in enlightening young minds and fostering a sense of purpose within the Muslim community in Oyo State.

“Thank you for building a better tomorrow. AMIS has continually brightened the future of Islam and strengthened our community through its programmes. Your commitment to education and moral values is laying the groundwork for a future rooted in unity, peace, and progress,” Agbaje said.

Agbaje encouraged AMIS to persist in their mission, emphasising that such initiatives foster hope and inspire a generation grounded in love and unity. He praised the organisation for their excellent arrangements and meaningful programme that aligns with the values of peace and community service.

Agbaje also addressed the children, urging them to remain steadfast followers of the teachings of Allah’s messenger and to serve as honourable ambassadors of Islam in all aspects of life.

The representative team, led by Mogaji Abdulrafiu Bola Akinyemi, included Hon Ademola Lawal (former Secretary to Ibadan South West LG), Hon Dauda Kolawole (former Special Assistant on ICT to late Gov Ajimobi), Mr Olawale Ogunmola (PA to Barr Akeem Agbaje), and Prince Egunleti Benjamin (SA on Media and Strategy to Barr Akeem Agbaje).
