APC Chieftain, Barr Agbaje Hails New Party’s Leadership.
A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, Barrister Akeem Agbaje has hailed the appointments of the new chairman and secretary of the party, Alhaji Umar Abdullahi Ganduje and Sen. Ajibola Basiru.
“This is another auspicious moment in the annals of our great party. The duo taking the mantle of leadership as chairman and national secretary are men of timber and caliber. They are core progressives who are well grounded in the ideals of good governance and shown deep love and loyalty to the party.
“In former Gov Ganduje, APC has a leader that understands the ideals of true progressivism and how to ensure the party continues to forge ahead on that path. Sen Ajibola Basiru is no stranger to leadership having been spokesman of the Senate.
“It is my belief that this new leadership of the party would work in good stead to galvanize the party as it prepares for elections in the nearest and foreseeable future.”
It would be recalled that the candidacy of former Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje and Sen. Ajibola Bashiru were pushed up following the resignation of the immediate past Chairman Alh. Abdullahi Adamu and National Secretary, Sen. Iyiola Omisore. Their appointments were ratified at the National Executive Council meeting which was attended by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
