APC PRIMARIES: Legal Luminary, Barr Akeem Agbaje Congratulates Asiwaju Tinubu over Victory.

A leading light in the legal profession and one of the six cleared Governorship Aspirants in Oyo state, Barrister Akeem Agbaje “ADEHUN” has congratulated Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu over his electoral victory at the recently concluded All Progressives Congress(APC) primaries.

Barr Agbaje in a statement issued by his media office and made available to newsmen in Ibadan, the state capital, attributed Tinubu success as APC presidential flagbearer to passion, commitment and consistency.

On Oyo APC primaries, Agbaje observed with dismay why and how the National Working Committee (NWC) of APC that could conduct free and fair primary at the presidential level allowed what he described as  shenanigans, irregularities, alterations of delegates’ list and scores’ allocations in Oyo state during its governorship primary election. He charged APC leadership to look into Oyo matters before it’s too late.

He expressed surprise on how the exercise was characterised with impunity for which there are credible evidences as a witness.

Agbaje also lauded President Muhammad Buhari for ensuring a free, fair and credible primary at the presidential level, devoid of manipulation and imposition contrary to the wishes of anti democratic forces in the APC.

Barrister Akeem Agbaje, a legal luminary and illustrious son of Ibadan land, hailed from a family of many firsts; Late Dr. Anthony Saka Agbaje, the first medical doctor of Ibadan origin, Late Chief Abdul Mojeed Folarin Agbaje, the first lawyer of Ibadan Origin; and Late Hon. Justice Abdul Ganiyu Agbaje JSC, the first Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria of Ibadan origin.

Barr. Akeem is a progeny of the Legendary Agbaje Salami L’Ayeye. The Great Agbaje Salami was an earlier Ibadan billionaire, first generation Nigerian politician, influential statesman and notable philanthropist, who immensely contributed his own quota to the sociocultural, socioreligious and sociopolitical advancements and progress of Ibadan Land and its environs.
