Tribute: Ara Foundation’s President, Amb Ademola Oyepeju Mourns Late Olubadan, Extols Oba Adetunji’s Virtues.

Ara Foundation’s President, Ambassador Ademola Oyepeju Ara has mourned the demise of late Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, Ajeogunguniso-I, who joined his ancestors early today, in Ibadan.

In his tribute and condolence message, the Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC) Amb Ara stated that,”I, Ara Foundation’s President, Amb. Ademola Oyepeju Ara, on behalf of the entire Oyepeju and Ojo Ara’s family while joining the beloved Olori, Alhaja Rasheedat, Baba Oloko and the entire family of our late royal father and immediate past Olubadan of Ibadan Land, His Royal Majesty, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, Ajeogunguniso I, also, the new Olubadan in waiting,  Oba Sen. Moshood Olalekan Balogun, the high Chiefs, the Mogajis and all the fellow ibadan indegens, mourn the demise of our great father, Oba Adetunji.

Amb Ara of Oluyole Local Government, described “Olubadan as someone who was blessed with wisdom by his creator, during his life time. Baba was the one who was very difficult to deceive but very easy to win his heart with facts”, he extolled.

The Late Olubadan’s death was officially announced by Palace spokesman, on the second day of January 2022, at exactly 1am in the midnight.

Oyepeju who is also a Chief and one of the  most recognised Ibadan indegens accross the globe expressed his shock while exchanging words with journalists today in Ibadan. “I will personally miss him, his time to time advice and words of encouragement. Late Olubadan played both royal and biological father’s role in my life and in our family, as well, also in the life of the entire Ibadan Indigenes, Oyo state and  Nigeria in general. He will forever be remembered and we will miss him a lot”, Ara reiterated

“We pray to the Almighty to accept his coming, forgive his shortcomings and grant him Al-Janat Firdaous. We also pray that may God grant bereaved royal family fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Oba Adetunji has been laid to rest today, according to Islamic rite in Ibadan.
