Aregbesola’s Olive Branch | By Ibrahim Adejare

Aregbesola’s Olive Branch | By Ibrahim Adejare.

My honest opinion may sound unpopular; nevertheless, I will still express it. I love Aregbesola, and I have a soft spot for him. I love his doggedness and charisma.

If I were Asiwaju, I would reminisce on the good old days, when Aregbesola was ready to fight tooth and nail because of Asiwaju – those days when Aregbe was very ready to take bullets for his Mentor.

Undoubtedly, Asiwaju has done a lot for Aregbesola. They are many, which Aregbe cannot deny. He made him a commissioner for eleven years, a governor for eight years and other numerous favours.

As for the ministerial appointment, whatever anyone says, Ogbeni still became a minister in the Buhari administration on the goodwill of Asiwaju.

However, everyone, including our own Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has committed blunders at one time or the other. Humans are prone to errors. We are not perfect.

Since he has apologised, President Tinubu should, please, overlook the past sins of Ogbeni Aregbesola. I’m sure he has regretted his actions.

God bless President Tinubu.
