We have made resolutions a yearly ritual. The early resolutions may emerge late December while the late ones would arrive as the cross over is accomplished.
Do you still remember your 2021 resolutions? How many of those resolutions did you accomplish? It is evaluation time. Many a people make unrealistic resolutions, many make realistic resolutions but are not well positioned for their accomplishments while a few others quit as a result of difficulties.
Experiences in the year may be represented by both ashes and beauty; ashes are those seemingly ugly moments and difficulties of the year and beauty can just be when the tide is easy. Ashes, as it may seem useless has its usefulness. Gloom should not stop a realistic resolution from being actualised. Ashes are available to a lot of people at different stages of their lives and different times of the year.
Your ability to come up with a good use for ashes and a better use of beauty will determine if you will celebrate after all. It may surprise you to know that some still misuse beauty. How realistic are your resolutions? How determined and positioned are you? Resolutions as they may seem, can be great weapons of change only if we make them as and when due, not necessarily the beginning or end of a year.
Look back now, analyse your positions, dispositions and decisions in 2021 and let us reason together. How well did you use the ashes and beauty this year threw at you? Did you influence people and make a positive change during the times of beauty or you enjoyed alone? What about the times of ashes, did you bow your head or did you make the most out of it? Remember, pessimists see difficulties in all opportunities while optimists see opportunities in every difficulty. 2022 is some hours away, wake up and be prepared for the ashes and beauty that will come with it, so that you can celebrate indeed by December. Till I write to you again next year by God’s grace, shine your light.
