Asiwaju Olumide Alli Mourns Former President Muhammadu Buhari, Condoles with President Tinubu Buhari Family

Asiwaju Olumide Yaqub Alli (OYA), a compassionate and community-focused aspirant for the House of Representatives from Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency come 2027, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the President of Nigeria, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, following the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Former President Buhari, who passed away at the age of 82, served as Nigeria’s democratic leader after being elected in 2015 and 2019. He also held the position of military Head of State from January 1984 to August 1985.
In a statement to the press, Asiwaju Alli described the late President Buhari as a dedicated servant of Nigeria. He acknowledged that while his passing was unexpected, it marks the conclusion of a significant chapter in the nation’s history, characterised by a steadfast commitment to unity, discipline, and public service.

“I extend my deepest condolences to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the First Lady, Hajia Aisha Buhari, the entire Buhari family, and all those who were close to the former president. Muhammadu Buhari served Nigeria with unwavering conviction, both in uniform and as a civilian, leaving a legacy defined by discipline and patriotic ideals.”
