Asiwaju Tinubu Is A Pro-people Thinker, He Puts Masses First – Soji Akanbi.
“My Leader, Mentor and our Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a pro-people thinker and charismatic leader, who always puts people first in all situations.
Chairman Dynasty Airline Management, Senator Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi stated this on the sidelines of a “formal gathering and important meeting of market men and women, artisans and tradesmen, and other organisational leaders”, organized by Coalition Movement for Bola Ahmed Tinubu (COMBAT), and which was held on Wednesday in Ibadan, ahead of February 25 presidential polls.
COMBAT is a foremost independent organisation founded by Sen. Akanbi and the Coalition has always been at forefront of mobilising voters en-mass towards the actualisation of Asiwaju Tinubu’s presidential ambition.
Sen. Akanbi recalled pro-people struggles and contributions of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, towards the restoration of Nigerian democracy, and he called on the citizens to remain committed to BAT’S renewed Hope of repositioning and cast their votes for Tinubu.
Akanbi reminisced how the two-term governor of Lagos State risked his life when he co-founded, and joined forces with compatriots in the National Democratic Coalition(NADECO) to chase out the military and restore democracy.
Akanbi, who was speaking on why Nigerians should remain committed to Tinubu’s ambition, against all odds, hailed BAT’s wisdom and maturity in handling the crisis that followed the creation of the local council development areas in Lagos State, by resorting to court for arbitration. The initiative that has strengthened local government administration of the Centre of Excellence, and which many states of the federation have also copied.
“Our amiable leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, you might recall, risked his life when he co-founded and joined forces with fellow compatriots in NADECO to chase the military from our national political life and install democracy.
“As Governor of Lagos State between 1999-2007, Asiwaju created additional Local Council Development Areas to expand the structures of development in Lagos State. This did not go down well with Obasanjo/Atiku’s presidency. So, that government at the centre, unconstitutionally, withheld, formally guaranteed allocation meant for local governments in Lagos State, for years.
That happened against the background that both Obasanjo and Tinubu share a common ancestry; being a democrat as he is, Tinubu took the matter to court and won the case for the people at grassroots level,” he noted.
While reacting to prevailing scarcity of naira notes, scarcity of fuel and other myriads of problems facing the nation, Sen. Akanbi emphasized that Asiwaju Tinubu is a tested and trusted leader who has capacity and capabilities to nib in bud all the problems facing the country.”In simple terms, Asiwaju has distinguished himself as a visionary helmsman, armed with the 3-C concept of courage, candour and charisma, to mend the past, make the present and move to the future, by repositioning Nigeria, vitalising economy and render purposeful governance that all Nigerian citizens, genuinely deserve.
Akanbi maintained that,”Despite being a flagbearer of his party, APC, Asiwaju Tinubu has never seized from being on the side of the masses. Example is his pro-people stance, and position on the side of masses, while, he was, recently, addressing mammoth supporters, in Ogun state.
The Okanlomo of Ibadan Land, Akanbi encouraged electorates to keep hope alive and cast their votes for Asiwaju Tinubu come February 25.”Asiwaju is the best man for the job that this moment calls for, so, let’s all go out, massively, on February 25 and collectively cast our votes for him. With this, we’ve enthroned people-centric governance that BAT is bringing to Nigeria.
