Beere Festival: Sen. Buhari Lauds “Okere of Saki” for Resuscitating Cultural Heritage.

The Senator representing Oyo North Senatorial District, Dr. Buhari Abdulfatai has commended the Okere of Sakiland, Oba (Surv.) Khalid Oyeniyi Olabisi Ilugbemidepo Oyedepo-III for resuscitating the cultural heritage of Saki via Beere Festival.

In a release made available to journalists today, the lawmaker rejoiced with Oba Olabisi, Okere-in-Council and generality of the people of the ancient town for the successful showcase of a nine days long activities of Beere festival.

Sen. Buhari disclosed that going by the background of the festival, it was aimed at luring social and economic development to Saki in a unique manner so that every residence can be bold of having a perfect shelter.

He lauded the monarch for being progressively aggressive in his efforts to make the ancient city of Saki, a developed human society.

The lawmaker admonished the people of Saki to continue to support Okere of Sakiland and give Kabiesi useful advice so that the traditional institution will continue to be celebrated and accorded the deserved respect in the comity of traditional institutions not only in Nigeria but even in abroad.

Senator Buhari prayed that the monarch, Okere-in-Council and generality of people of Saki shall live to witness many of the festival in sound health and peace of mind.
