BIRTHDAY: Int’l Scholar, Dr Moshood Abioye Celebrates Oyo Youth Commissioner, Hon Seun Fakorede.
Dr Moshood Abioye, a detribalised statesman and youthful philanthropist, hailed from Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo-State has celebrated the Youth and Sports Commissioner, Hon. Seun Fakorede on the occasion of his 31st birthday, holding today, May 22, 2023.
The renowned international Scholar, Dr Abioye stated that,”Hon. Fakorede, as a United Nations Ambassador for Peace, is immensely known for his work in youth empowerment and development. As the founder of Home Advantage Africa, a non-profit organization that advocates for African patriotism among youths, Hon. Fakorede has distinguished himself and made Oyo youth proud.
The illustrious son of Ibadan, Dr Abioye continued,”since his appointment as youth Commissioner, Hon. Fakorede has also been a vocal advocate for the rights of we, the young people. He has spoken out against youth unemployment, poverty, and violence. He has also called for more investment in youth education and training.
“Hon. Fakorede! No wonder, this is the reason why your work has been recognized by a number of awards, including the Future Awards Africa Prize for Governance in 2020 and the Politician of the Year Award by One Young World in 2022.

Recall, Hon. Fakorede was appointed Commissioner for Youth and Sports in August 2019. He has since been credited with a number of initiatives aimed at improving the lives of young people in the State. These include the establishment of the “Oyo State Youth Empowerment Fund, the launch of the Oyo State Youth Development Master Plan, and the creation of the Oyo State Youth Parliament.
Fakorede’s birthday is a reminder of the importance of youth empowerment and development. He is a role model for young people everywhere, and his work is an inspiration to us all.
