BIRTHDAY: Prof Akande Congratulates Olubadan At 80.
The Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Professor Adeolu Akande has congratulated the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Mohood ‘Lekan Balogun over his landmark 80th birthday.
In a congratulatory message released, today, in Abuja, Prof. Akande stated that he joined millions of the indigenes of Ibadan, in particular, and Oyo State, in general to felicitate with the monarch on his 80th birthday.
Akande described Oba Balogun as a pride to all who have known him and he prayed that may God continue to bless Kabiesi with good health and prosperous reign.
In his words, Prof Akande said,”My association with Kabiyesi for over 30 years leaves me in no doubt that His Imperial Majesty will continue making giant strides as Olubadan of Ibadanland. Baba’s progressive ideals and love for the youth are unparalleled.
“Kabiesi’s devotion for decency in public life, and patriotism to the country are legendary. I wish Kabiyesi many more years in the service of Ibadanland, Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
