As Alaafin of Oyo Empire, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi marks 83 birthday, Senator Buhari Abdulfatai has rejoiced with the monarch and he described the royal father as a dependable institution, in Yoruba land.
The lawmaker representing people of Oyo North in the red chamber stated this in his felicitation message to Oba Adeyemi which was made available to pressmen today.
According to him, Alaafin has been favoured in every sphere of life, especially with longevity on the throne. “This has been to the advantages of Oyo and entire Yorubaland”, he stated.
In his words, Buhari said,”The life of our Royal Father, Alaafin has ushered in Sociocultural advancements of Yoruba race”.
While praying that Oba Adeyemi shall live longer to enjoy more goodies on the throne of his ancestors, Senator Buhari enjoined him to continue to be accessible to the younger generation so that they can all tap and benefit from his wealth of wisdom and knowledge.
He encouraged Alaafin to sustain his unrelenting efforts aimed at achieving better governance of Oyo State by not keeping silent, especially when things are not going on well in the State and the nation in general.
“His Imperial Majesty is a father of all and he’s second to none when it comes to calling a spade a spade. That’s one of the reasons why majority of us move closer to him”,Senator Buhari reiterated.
