Bishop Phillips Academy: Old Students’ Association Holds Reunion on Saturday.
The 1997 set of Bishop Phillips Academy Old Students’ Association, Ibadan region has put all plans in place to hold its reunion on Saturday, 26th December, 2020 at the school ground.
The event will feature a ‘Public Lecture and Presentation of Awards’ to some personalities who have contributed immensely to the development of education in the state.
Also, its Ibadan regional National President, Alhaji Adekunle Ogunsola popularly known as ‘Osupa’ , among others are expected to grace the event.
The awardees include a three time Commissioner in the state and former Executive Adviser(EA) on Political Affairs to Late Gov. Abiola Ajimobi , Barr.(Dr) Morohunkola Thomas and Chief Soji Eniade, former Head of Service, Oyo state among other dignitaries.
The public lecture: keynote speaker; Dr Morohunkola to speak on “The Importance of Quality Education in Nation Building; The Place of Alumni Group Under Review”, while Chief Eniade is also expected to speak on “Planning for Retirement at 40: Rejigging The Hope for Better Future”.
According to a statement signed by the Set Chairman, Ibadan Region, Pastor Oyewale Oyegoke Solomon and made available to newsmen on Tuesday in Ibadan, the programme is scheduled for 10:00am at the ‘Governor Seyi Makinde Hall’, Bishop Phillips Academy, Ibadan.
Oyegoke further emphasized that the reunion is necessary to rekindle old friendships, give back to the school, promote business and social networking. He reiterated that the event will help rebuild a network of friends and associates.
