Breaking: CCII Sets to Confer “Most Distinguished Ibadan Indigene(MDII) Award” on Oyo ALGON Chair, Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye on Saturday.

The Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes(CCII) has put all measures in place to honour the Executive Chairman of Oluyole Local Government Area and Chairman, Association of Local Governments of Nigeria(ALGON), in Oyo-State, Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye this Saturday at Obafemi Awolowo (Liberty) Stadium in Ibadan.

This is stated in a letter dated March 5, 2021 and addressed to the ALGON Chairman, Aleshinloye.

The part of the letter reads; “Hon. Ayodeji Abass Aleshinloye. ‘Conferment of the Award of The Most Distinguished Ibadan Indigene(MDII)’ on Your Person. On behalf of Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji(Aje Ogunguniso-I), the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes(CCII) hereby gladly inform Your Honour that the Grand Finale for the year 2021 Ibadan Cultural Celebrations will take place on Saturday 10th April, 2021 at Obafemi Awolowo (Liberty) Stadium, Oke Ado, Ibadan starting by 11am.

It reads further, “Among the programmes lined up for the day is the conferment of the ‘Most Distinguished Ibadan Indigene Award’ on your person in appreciation of your immense contributions to the Political Landscape of Ibadanland in particular and Oyo-State in general.

“Whereas most heroes in Nigeria are usually celebrated after their demise, we in Ibadan have decided to celebrate you now so as to show you that Ibadan has created a deserved permanent place for you in her history. You are most deserving of this honour by virtue of your exemplary records as the Chairman of Oluyole Local Government in the areas of ‘Vocational Training, Healthcare Delivery, Road and Infrastructural Development and most outstandingly your courageous and brilliant leadership of the ALGON, Oyo state in the manner reminiscent of Ibadan warrior”, the letter stated.
