Breaking News: NANS Elects Asefon Sunday As New President.
National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has elected a student of Ekiti State University(EKSU), Asefon Sunday as the new president of the largest student body in Africa.
Asefon who was the Director of Action and Mobilization during the reign of Comrade Monsuru Tunde Adeyemo(Socrates) as NANS Zone-D(Southwest) Coordinator and his successor-in-tittle was declared winner at the 2020 NANS National Convention at Old Parade Ground in Abuja by the Convention Chairman.
Asefon pulled 155 votes to emerge as the winner.
Other contestants, Ladoja pulled 100 votes, Alopay – 7, Champion -2, Momodu -11 with a total invalid votes of 7.
The spokesperson of his movement in NANS Zone-D(Southwest), G-7 , Comrade Agbabiaka Hammed, thanked all Nigerian students and SUG Presidents for making a right choice by electing Asefon as the new president of the organisation.
Other prominent leaders of the G-7 movement are Comrade Abosede Olwaseun(Safety), Ige Ebenezer(Ebby), Clement Olusegun(Pa Clem), Arowolo Ifeoluwa(Arobantilove), Akande Olukayode James(K.por), Adeyemo Monsuru Tunde(Socrates) among others.
